NEW DLC FIGHTERS

  • G-130 Grasshopper (Battle Garegga, Eighting-Raizing, 1996)
    • Grasshopper is a good pick for players who find the Wild Snail a bit too slow for their liking, and its piercing shots at higher levels helps with screen control. You can shoot while the bomber is active, giving you a burst of high DPS on demand while clearing enemy bullets. You can also exploit the trick from the source material and use the ejected shell casings from the bomber to deal even more damage to your enemies
  • G-1026 Flying Baron (Battle Garegga, Eighting-Raizing, 1996)
    • Taking a combination of design elements from both Battle Garegga and Armed Police Batrider, the Flying Baron is a SPD and ROF specialist with a safe bomber that deals average but wide damage and a below average ATK (3 to 5) to balance it out. It already has a low COV rating due to the main shot configuration from the source games. It will inherit the ROF from the Batrider version.

FIGHTER BALANCE FIXES

  • Miria
    • Repeller: Increased maximum number of projectiles from 3/3/3/4 to 5/5/5/6
    • Grenade: Increased throw speed by 200%, thereby increasing throw distance. Increased maximum number of grenades and explosions from 1/1/1/2 to 3/3/3/4
  • Styx
    • Wave weapon: The main Wave shots from the fighter now changes direction as you move left and right, similar to Miria's own Wave weapon. At LV4, the CLAWs now each shoot a spread of two mini Wave projectiles
    • Hunter: Tracking behavior and target acquisition are now 100% completely accurate to the source material.

STAGE FIXES AND CHANGES

Stage 3-B (1974 Vietnam)

  • Reduced the density of the zako waves overall, significantly during the encounter against The Stranger
  • F-4 Phantom II (item carrier zakos): Movement speed lowered from 2 to 1.25. They now move downward continually instead of veering towards the player.
  • F-5 Freedom Fighter zakos: No longer clones of the Stage 1 Zeros/Hayates. Their behavior now closely mimics their XFEX movement patterns and attack patterns, swooping in from the top of the screen, then turning to escape to the top of the screen
  • Vought F-7 Cutlass zakos: wave spawn densities greatly reduced in all instances they spawn, in most instances reducing them to 50% or less of the original densities
  • Il-28 "Beagle" medium enemies: No longer spawn on the far left and right edges of the screen. They now spawn further away from the screen sides, where they always appear on the screen no matter where the player

Stage 4-B (2035 Portugal)

  • Zako enemies changed from YF-23's to original BRES drones

HUD AND QOL FIXES AND CHANGES

  • Page change prompt changed from "Enter: Change page" to "Pause key: Change page" to take into account players who changed their key bindings from the default of Enter for pausing the game
  • All stage objectives rewritten to add missing context and be less vague.
  • Added limited new Japanese support: Stage objectives are translated into Japanese and shown on the stage widgets. The Japanese objectives can be displayed in-game by turning on widgets and setting the game logo style to "JAPANESE CLASSIC"
  • Xeno Overdrive HUD meter display overhauled with all-new icons showing the power level of both the M and L weapons and text formatting improvements
  • M+L fighters now have a HUD display of the power levels of both their M and L weapons, shown at the lower-left corner of the screen. The display automatically hides offscreen if the player is near at the lower-left corner of the screen
  • M/L fighters that are not Xeno Overdrive users have their own power level display on the HUD
  • Single mode fighters now have their power levels displayed on the HUD
  • Variable mode fighters show their weapon mode icon on the HUD
  • Variable mode fighters now show the icon of weapon you change to briefly above the fighters' sprite after you press the SP button. The icons for the previous and next weapon in the sequence are also shown
  • Variable mode fighters now show the currently selected weapon name and power level above the weapons bar at all times
  • Styx weapon icons depicting their individual power levels have a simpler design
  • Fixed minor layout regression in the fighter info widget, where the new letter grade text for the 10-point fighter stats overhaul sometimes overlaps the fighter loadout text fields
  • Fighter stats on the select screen now show their letter grades (A+, C, etc.) along with the value bars

BUGFIXES

  • Fixed Stage EX-1 endboss Green Walrus becoming invincible when the game is paused in any way (including the continue screen) while he is offscreen
  • Fixed Stage EX-4 endboss "John Romero" (Miclus) becoming invincible when the game is paused in any way (including the continue screen) while he is offscreen

OTHER FIXES

  • Reduced number of audio channels from 1024 to 128, increasing game performance
  • Sound volume and gain balance fixes
